The Little River County Housing Authority is the local administrator of the federal Low-Rent Public Housing Program and the Housing Choice Voucher Program (formerly Section 8).

The federally funded Low-Rent Public Housing Program provides quality, affordable rental housing for families, seniors, and persons with disabilities at developments that are owned and managed by the Housing Authority. The agency owns and manages 148 rental units and administers 50 Housing Choice Vouchers.
